PT Stretching & Kineseo Taping

Here are some pictures of Abby during one of her PT sessions - You can see how the PT gets some good stretches in her feet. Hope this will help those of you who do your child's stretching exercises at home.


Hold ankle - Get in arch with thumb
Massage firmly from Heel to toe - Up and out to sides of foot


Hold knee straight - hold heel firmly to stretch hamstrings (Hold 10 seconds)

Kineseo Taping


Kinesio Taping
This helps encourage Abby's foot up and over with better toe extensions.
1st method - start at bottom of foot and pull up


2nd method- start at top of foot - give tug - pull up foot towards knee - pull tape to side of leg.


Hold heel, ankle, foot firmly - stretch count 10 seconds








Abby likes to remove her KT by herself.  This process can take a while - it can be worse then taking off a bandaid - so Abby pulls her skin taught and removes the taping very slowly.
